I shop at hot topic off and on for cool t-shirts. But I am not trendy metal fan with tattoos all over my body including my head and face. I don't shave my head and I am also not some mallgoth. I have a very classic image. I wear levi jeans. I would have fit in the 1960s and 1970s.Cock Lobster wrote:Shut up. There's nothing amazing about that statement and it isn't the dumbest thing you've EVER read here. SD can you give us some insight as well?
Dumbest thing I've EVER read here. Amazing.
Unless, as has been said, you are some poseur Hot Topic metalhead like a Robert Hollis or Steve Coffey who think 80's Metallica is as heavy as it gets, you SHOULD know that Mayhem, Marduk, Enslaved, and Keep of Kalessin are black metal bands, who sound nothing like Phobia, a crust-grind band, and nothing like Lair of the Minotaur, a thrash band, and nothing like Grief, a legendary MA doom metal band, and nothing like Pig Destroyer, Pestilence Immolation, Bolt Thrower, Atheist, all death metal bands with very distinct sounds.
How many feet do you have, anyway? Are they all equally delicious?

PG's probably a 20 minute drive from the place. I'm an hour away. I don't plan on going (although there are a few bands there I wouldn't mind seeing, I couldn't sit for a whole day's worth of death metal), but I'd love to drive up to Baltimore and get drunk with any of you bastards who might be goingwhitemike wrote:Does anyone actually live near the venue?

The Sonar Lounge is in a bit of a shitty area but it's not far from some really nice hotels. It's close to the Inner Harbor which is basically the only part of Baltimore worth going to as a tourist.Lumber Jack Off wrote:the promoter usually puts the bands in a nearby hotel.

Legendary Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM will return to the U.S. to celebrate their 25th Anniversary in May and June 2009. Sweden’s MARDUK will support. Dates will be announced shortly, though both bands are already confirmed for next year’s Maryland Deathfest.

like the first 30 minutes of Morbid Angel or whatever rules then it's just sonic mud.
