I am not going this year, but I plan to go next year. I just looked at the lineup again since December and it did get a whole lot better. Besides the big chunk of undeserving -core bands and the usual gay amount of flower metal bands the lineup is good.
I do enjoy Job for a Cowboy, but I just don't understand how Grave is playing before them. I enjoy a few Lordi songs but how are they the last band to play that day? When I saw them at Ozzfest they had no stage presence and didn't know how to turn up their volume.
Oh and if anyone is planning on going to watch Lauren Harris, make sure you bring some earplugs and some motion lotion.

In reference to the Lordi comment, bands at Wacken go on till about 3-3.30am. The headliners are always spread throughout the evening. That night the headliners will be At The Gates and Nightwish I guess. Although there will be an absolutely massive turn out for Carcass and Kreator also.

Yea I wasn't aware at how it all worked but did think about that. I just hope when I go it will kill. I have never been there before. I know my wallet will be raped because I live in America, but I know it will be worth it.

I wouldn't be going back for a fifth year if it wasn't a great festival
