Pantera Live May '89 (with Kerry King)

Someone uploaded this show onto youtube, great stuff! They play a couple of Slayer tunes, a Priest cover, and a few Cowboys and Power Metal tunes.
King joins them onstage about half way through the show.

That's what I was thinking. I never knew that he knew them so well that he would know the songs and everything, especially at this stage in Pantera's development.BonestorM wrote:Kerry King on stage with a glam band?!?!? wtf
Pretty damn awesome anyway though. They were pretty thrashy at this point. They would have been considered fairly heavy if it had been 5 pr 6 years earlier.

The practice vids are very cool. Dime and Kerry play some riffs from Power Metal and Reign in blood and the band pull off a killer rendition of Priest's timeless 'Hell bent for Leather'. You could see the band was really at the top of their game here.Web Of Hair wrote:Weeee! Now I don't have to worry aboot digitizing the show.

hell yeah in Chicago. It was literally my first concert I've ever been to. That's so badass to be able to say it was Pantera and Slayer. I'm just so glad I got to see Pantera. It was amazing.
Actually it was the Extreme Steel Tour. I missed them during the Reinventing the Steel tour in late 2000/early 2001. The Extreme Steel tour that I went to was with Pantera, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Scrape and Static-X in the summer of 2001.
