GWAR: New Tour Dates Announced

GWAR has scheduled the following dates:

May 22 - City Hall - Nashville, Tennessee
May 23 - The Pearl Room - Mokena, Illinois
May 24 - Bogarts - Cincinnati, Ohio
May 25 - Headliner's - Toledo, Ohio
May 27 - Mr. Smalls - Millvale, Pennsylvania
May 28 - The Chance - Poughkeepsie, New York
May 29 - Crocodile Rock - Allentown, Pennsylvania
May 30 - The National - Richmond, Virginia
May 31 - Tremont - Charlotte, North Carolina
Sep. 04 - Studio Coast - Tokyo, JPN
Sep. 05 - Studio Coast - Tokyo, JPN
Sep. 07 - [to be announced] - Osaka, JPN

GWAR guitarist Balsac the Jaws of Death recently issued the following update:

"I know that most of you have heard the new that Todd Evans [bass] has decided to quit GWAR, and many of you have being asking, 'Does this mean the end for GWAR?' Of course not, you silly little minxes. Beefcake is larger than the man who wears the suit, and to prove it, Casey Orr will once again be donning the steel mantle and carrying on the legend. Yes, the Beefcake from such masterpieces as 'Ragnarok', 'Carnival of Chaos' and 'Violence has Arrived' is returning to bring the rock as it hasn't been broughten in years! But don't take my word for it! Come witness the awesomeosity for yourself when GWAR takes to the road this May for a short tour of the Midwest and eastern seaboard."

GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus was recently interviewed by Metal Sanaz for for MySpace's "A Place for Metal". Watch the four-minute clip below.

Todd Evans' new group, MOBILE DEATHCAMP, will reportedly hit the road this summer as one of the support acts for GREEN JELLÅ¸, the resurrected American comedy heavy metal/punk rock band.

I've got a group of about 15 people who have never seen GWAR going to the Cincy date

brandon + alcohol + 15 random people he doesn't know + a gwar show = quite possibly the most epic thing ever, next to him going to casper of course
