Reverb

Post by warhead dime »

For some reason it seems that if you don't have reverb on your amp (I have the first 5150 block letter version), it's impossible to find a good reverb that isn't a rackmount digital unit or one with an actual spring tank that costs a shitload.

Anyone know any good reverb pedals that won't sound like shit when used with distortion?

I have a reverb dial on my guitar combo that does absolutely nothing.

Usually to get quality reverb pedals, you have to go the boutique route. Check out this web site and listen to the samples...

Have you also thought of looking at echo/delay pedals?

I used to have one and I loved it. But I decided I preferred no reverb for metal stuff so just flogged it.

Yeah I have a boss dd6 digital delay. It works great, and adds some depth. But unless I want delay going on in my solo, there isn't a way for me to get a reverby tone.

Why not go to a shop with a decent stock to try a few out?

Soloing? Get this man, it's a beauty in the right setup and a disaster with the wrong combo.

I used to be interested in multi effects things but it really wouldn't work with my setup. I'm looking for a pedal. I think the Holy Grail from EHX sounds like it would work. I think the guitar center by me has it, so I'm gonna have to try it out.
