Soilent Green U.S. Tour.!

Post by BrandonDerek »

SOILENT GREEN have announced dates for their summer U.S. headlining tour in support of their long-awaited new album, "Confrontation". The CD is slated for a July release via Relapse.

SOILENT GREEN will hit the road begining July 15 in Baltimore, MD at Fletcher's. The Metal Maniacs-sponsored tour is expected to conclude on September 1 in Dayton, OH at Elbo's with additional dates pending. Support on the SOILENT GREEN tour will be provided by A PERFECT MURDER, INTO THE MOAT and WATCH THEM DIE.

On the subject of touring, vocalist Ben Falgoust stated: "We are all very eager to get on the road. This is our first full-fledged U.S. tour in almost three years, since the accidents. This will be the first time the current line-up has done a complete U.S. tour and we are all very excited. We will be touring in support of our new album, 'Confrontation', and we are highly confident the fans will like the new material as we are very eager to bring the new material to the live setting. We will perform some older songs on this tour, but look forward to a majority of the set list to be from 'Confrontation'. New songs such as 'Leaves of Three', 'A Scream Trapped Underwater', '12 oz. Prophet' and 'This Glass House of Broken Words' are no-holds-barred, in-your-face, 'bring-the-energy' type songs." On the subject of touring alongside A PERFECT MURDER, INTO THE MOAT and WATCH THEM DIE, Falgoust commented, "These are all new and upcoming bands playing different types of extreme music. It will be good to cross genres."

Interesting. I went to this exact same tour on that exact same date in 2005.

are they still around? I haven't heard anything from them since that album with the dumb cover was released, the one where that person is jumping in the air.

Yes they're still around. Three of the members are busy with other bands. They're doing some Euro festivals in the summer and probably some shows around here.

Yeah, they're doing like 3 european fest. I'd love to see them live again... a new e.h.g record is good by me, and apparently goatwhore is starting work on theirs within this year...so I can't complain.

the last goatwhore album I bought was disappointing, a haunting curse. It was good but they seemed to have lost their black metal sound. It sounded more like soilent green in a lot of places. I need to keep up with this scene more...have goatwhore released anything since a curse?

Carving Out the Eyes of God came out last year. It's pretty good. I like them a lot better now that they've moved away from the black metal sound and more towards death metal.
