SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT: Complete 'American Carnage' Details Revealed - Nov. 16, 2009

SLAYER. MEGADETH. Two names synonymous with fierce, crunching power. Two bands whose histories are inevitably intertwined in defining the thrash/metal genre. Individually, their respective prowess and accomplishments are impressive; but together, they're brutal and unstoppable. MEGADETH and SLAYER will join forces to co-headline "American Carnage", the most blistering, the most explosive, and the most eagerly anticipated mega-tour of the winter — and you do not want to miss it.

"American Carnage" will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, Washington for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month. Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, November 20. Ticketmaster is offering a special presale for most shows from Wednesday, November 18 at 10am until Thursday, November 19 at 10pm.

"American Carnage" is the first time that SLAYER and MEGADETH will have toured the U.S. together since 1991's epic "Clash of the Titans" tour. To celebrate that and in recognition of the tough economic times that many of their fans are having, MEGADETH and SLAYER have decided to roll back the price of a chunk of tickets at every U.S. show to the "1991 price" of $10.00. These specially-priced tickets will be limited and when they're gone, they're gone. MEGADETH has also teamed with iloveallaccess.com to provide an Ultimate Fan Package including premium seats, meet and greets, pre-show parties and more.

In addition, TESTAMENT — who was also on the "Clash of the Titans" bill — will be special guests on the entire tour, marking the first time that all three bands have shared a stage together in more than 18 years, and making this a "must see" metal event.

SLAYER and MEGADETH have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S. — first with four explosive dates in June, 2009 across Western Canada - "Canadian Carnage" — marking the first time the bands had shared a stage anywhere in 18 years; and then six co-headlining "Carnage" dates in Australia followed in October.

I'd go to this if it came anywhere close, if only to see Testament and Megadeth. Slayer's just an added bonus. Who in Hades scheduled this? :?

I'll wait for Testament to headline and play more than eight songs, since the other two are of zero interest.

It's well documented that I have a fat girlfriend, IFK. This dates back to before it was cool and JJ and others jumped on the bandwagon.

I saw Testament headline about 18 months ago....cool show even though I never really listened to them before. I kinda like when bands have to condense their set....all killer, no filler.

My buddy got 6 front row balcony tickets last night, couple sections down from the stage. You know you are getting old when you begin to relish the balcony vs. general admission.

He said you can type in password "Carnage" and it will let you in. He stumbled on that after looking into signing up for Slayers and Megadeths fan club. He claims it worked and he got confirmations on the tickets.

It works....I just tried it.

Slayer and Megadave toured Canadia and called it "Canadian Carnage"

So you might get European Carnage

I just saw Slayer this past summer and don't really listen to Megadeth or Testament. With that said, there was no way in hell I was going to miss this tour. You can say what you want about Slayer's show being a little stale...same songs again and again plus the new stuff is shit......but it's still incredible when they hit the stage and it's BAM!!!!! FUCKIN' SLAYER!!!!!!!! :aargh: :aargh:

I saw them when they did the CANADIAN CARNAGE tour, fucking awesome. megadeth was headlining, which was interesting since there were probably 1000 ppl wearing slayer shirts to every 1 megadeth shirt, and probly a quarter of the stadium cleared out after slayer lol. nothing against megadeth, but definately more of a slayer fan! opened w/ God Hates Us All, couldn't ask for more.

Drones since the dawn of time
Compelled to live your sheltered lives
Not once has anyone ever seen
Such a rise of pure hypocracy
I'll instigate I'll free your mind
I'll show you what I've known all this time

God HATES Us All, God HATES Us All
You know it's true God hates this place
You know it's true he hates this race

Homicide-Suicide
Hate heals, you should try it sometime
Strive for Peace with acts of war
The beauty of death we all adore
I have no faith distracting me
I know why your prayers will never be answered

God HATES Us All; God HATES Us All
He Fuckin' hates me

Pessimist, Terrorist targeting the next mark
Global chaos feeding on hysteria
Cut throat, slit your wrist, shoot you in the back fair game
Drug abuse, self abuse searching for the next high
Sounds a lot like hell is spreading all the time
I'm waiting for the day the whole world fucking dies

I never said I wanted to be God's disciple
I'll never be the one to blindly follow

Man made virus infecting the world
Self-destruct human time bomb
What if there is no God would you think the fuckin' same
Wasting your life in a leap of blind faith
Wake the fuck up can't ignore what I say
I got my own philosophy

I hate everyone equally
You can't tear that out of me
No segregation -separation
Just me in my world of enemies

I never said I wanted to be God's disciple
I'll never be the one to blindly follow
I'll never be the one to bear the cross-disciple

I reject this fuckin' race
I despise this fuckin' place
