boss metal zone mt 2 fucking piece of shit problem

Post by hektik »

the switch broke, so i took it out, and it would only give me distortion for two minutes then slowly die down. i resoldered some wires back, and now i'm left with a purple wire and a brown wire doing nothing, if i ground out the purple wire i get a little bit of distortion, the brown wire appears to do nothing. i've been losing my mind over this fuckin thing for the past few days now, anyone here know anything about rewiring this fucking horseshit pedal to get it to work again?

WTF, You should have sent it back unless your warentee is up.

I love my MT-2 Dist sound and Im still playing out of a practice amp. I did plug into a Marshall stack and it ripped. Ide like a little more lowend out of it rather than that buzzsaw against steel sound when cranked up so I figure Ill get the BOSS EQ Stompbox. My buddie just got a Big Muff and we are going to trade as soon as I get my amp. That should be fun.

BTW- Where do you buy your gear? You should be able to call and tell them the problem you are having and they should be able to tell you how to fix it.

If not write out anymore info you have and Ill talk to Jake Owner of Backstage Guitars where I buy all my gear and Ill get a detailed answer next time I talk with him. If I remember or feel like it.
