Was Dime overrated?

I've often wondered as I've got older, was Dime as great as we all cracked him up to be? I was listening Vulgar for the first time in ages, and it didn't do it for me, the way it used to. I found the leads very scrappy with next to no technique. I mean, I still think he can play, but nowhere near as good as I used to think. Hammet, Holt, Mustaine were all way more advanced in the that era.

Was Dime overrated? An interesting question no doubt. In the scheme of things who can say who was over and who was under rated for the time, especially when it comes to musicians. There are so many variables that need to be considered when assessing this, such as who were his contemporaries at the time, who he was following and who came after. Also his time was cut short so who is to say his best days were behind him? It's quite a conundrum you present to the pbb and I'm sure you'll get a lot of scholarly replies on this subject. It's a question I've found myself awake at 4am stroking my chin trying to answer all the while trying to ignore the existential terror that kept me awake in the fist place, not only that but do our actions have consequences? I mean in the scheme of things? If I was to cut a complete strangers brakes and they get into a terrible car accident, if I never get caught what does that say about the state of society? Shouldn't we be policing this more strongly? We can't have random people going around slashing peoples brakes without fear of punishment can we? But then it all rolls around back to the subject of increasing taxes, something I myself can't stomach, I'd rather live with the fact that my brakes might be cut then have to pay more to the corrupt government. A government that may or may not have been in Nathan Gales ear, telling him that Dime is overrated and perhaps that's why he was shot.

So I guess in the end you really shouldn't go around saying people are overrated, some psycho might listen to you and end up shooting them.

Actions have consequences.

Pretty unlikely that would happen. I guess, what you are saying, he was overrated. I thought so too. They sound so dated now if you haven't heard them in years, and you start to see their obvious flaws like Dime's mediocre playing. I imagine had they stayed together they would have replaced him to get to the next level.

Have you got anger issues, or do you have bipolar? That's a rather unbalanced reply.

I've heard rumours that he was a closet homosexual. He couldn't even get it up for Rita.

I know that you are a complete idiot, and judging from your posts, it's the truth, not a rumor.

Do you really think it's fun to make fun of the dead?
