I think it was Bassphemy thats said Sikth sounds like a gay guy trying to say "six". I think about that every time I hear about this band, which is never. Good video, though!

I may be incorrect, but I'm pretty sure Chuck Schuldiner used Marshall Valvestates. If you're into Death's tone, I'd go for it. From what I've heard though, the amps can sound kind of "dry", if that makes any sense to you.

I'm really not even interested in getting another amp, it was just kind of a "should I impulse buy this" thing. But now that I'm on this train of though, what might be a good, single 12 all tube combo for practice/small gigging/recording? Vox do an AC15 and I think a 1 x 12 AC30.. they so...

I'm not even going to explain why that is stupid. My gear sucks for metal right now, I'm playing my Parker through a shitty DOD rackmount EQ, into a busted BOSS Super overdrive that only works if I turn it upside down, or into a really old BOSS compressor\sustainer, but only one or the other because...

The instructions to any pedal explain how to set it up...basically you go from your amp into the wah, and out to your guitar. Also, I think if you're running other effects pedals keep them all before the wah pedal in your setup, meaning your wah the last effect with the guitar going into it. The wa...

I played an old Telecaster last night, the neck was amazing....don't know much about it's tonal capabilities since I didn't plug it into anything, but acoustically it was very bright and audible.

Edit: By "audible" I mean it was very clean, I could hear every note clearly.

I'd rather have an amp that has nice, clean tone at a low volume that can easily be pumped into a PA than some roaring 130 db beast that is impossible to make sound good through a PA or on a recording. You should look into Carvin amps. Even their solidstates produce pretty nifty, jazzy cleans. edit...
