You know, when you really think about it, not only is Dave a better vocalist than Phil, but he can shred just as if not better than Dime ever could. The guy could practically be Pantera all by himself. All he needs is a drum machine and maybe some kind of bass player to play in the shadows, and he ...

Anyone who thinks Phil owns Dave really knows nothing at all about singing. It's quite sad, really. Some of you need to just shut the hell up before you embarrass yourselves further. Do yourself a favor and shut the fuck up. Dave is one of the worst singers of all time, doesn't matter, he probably ...

Re: Dave Mustaine covering Cemetary Gates
I think you must need a hearing aid, BADLY.walnut wrote:I think he did a better job at singing it than Phil did in the original version. He just put so much more soul and emotion into it, plus he has a naturally better vocal range. What do you think?

i'm assuming you mean no one can touch them when it comes to expression and energy right? because from a technical standpoint most experienced musicians could easily play pantera songs in their sleep. i wouldn't want to be in a pantera cover band. it would be fucking boring. Pantera cover band, pla...

damn that song is awesome. i wish phil did some more with iommi. They almost did a cd together from what I understand. It fell through for some reason though. I'd personally rather hear Phil and Iommi than Down or some Tony Iommi solo cd with Glenn Hughes. I'd take Phil and Iommi over new Heaven an...

Why aren't there really any Pantera cover bands?
There are a thousand cover bands out there for all the other legendary metal acts. I was wondering why that isn't the same for Pantera.
It's fuckin obvious. Because no one can touch that band.

The glam days of pantera were great. I've got the complete albums from that time and I listen to them a lot. glam metal rulez;) Over and Out, Death Trap, Rock The World were pretty good. Hard Ride, We'll Meet Again sound like they belong in a freakin Miami Vice movie. Everything I'd heard that they...
