My image went fail... I'm looking forward to checking it out. My only issue with EZDrummer is that I can't do enough with it. I'm kind of stuck with the drums that are there, and the lonely 8 mixer channels. And the overhead and room settings are harsh... Hopefully Superior Drummer is better in thos...

EZDrummer can GTFO

I'm in the process of downloading Superior Drummer.

Has anyone tried this out yet, or is everyone still figuring out EZDrummer? :|):

PRS makes a great guitar.

I've never played a PRS I didn't like, but they don't make an Explorer so I've never considered investing in one. The next guitar I buy will be a Gibson or an Edwards Explorer.

I really want to get my hands on an Edwards and try it, but 1,000 USD is way too much to pay for a guitar I haven't tried first so I went with the EX. I used to be sold on Ibanez, but the post lawsuit Destroyer is ugly and the ESP has a more comfortable neck. http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-I...

The ESP EX is a bit severe on the edges, but it's smaller and lighter than most traditional type Explorers. It's about the same weight as the Epiphone Korina, by my guess. And the neck is perfect... at least for me. Thicker than an Ibanez, but thinner than a Gibson. I also tried out an Ibanez 8 stri...

Finally made up my mind...

Picked up one of these this afternoon after playing it. http://dantheman1969.files.wordpress.com/2007/05/ex-400_ow.jpg Very nice middle of the road guitar, for sure. Lyric writing?

I don't know if I've started a thread about this already... but I figured I'd ask around anyway.

What do those of you who are lyricists (serious ones) do for inspiration?

I welcome Tyson's feedback too. :|):

AND if you don't have one already, I'd also suggest investing in a small USB Audio Interface. I currently use a Lexicon Alpha and you can score one of those for about 80 bucks. It has all the features one person working alone needs.

When you record guitar work, you'll be glad you bought one.

That's possible too. hektik - What you could do is Google for instructions on using a cracked version on Mac. I unfortunately know very little about Macs. It sounds to me like it's not getting into your VSTi directory, or that you have a faulty version of EZ Drummer, or both... And it's sickeningly easy to use VSTs in Ableton Live. You don't need a controller at all, just click the pencil at the top for the "Draw" function and bang the notes...

I just read something that said Logic 8 doesn't support VST or RTAS plugins. :x And you're not really going to be able to find a stand-alone drum machine, as most them require a DAW to act as their sequencer. My best suggestion, and the easiest route I can think of off the top of my head is to torre...

Sky Black's post that was here lightbulbed me... before she killed it... :aargh:

I've been trying to lay everything in DfH on one track in Ableton, and the DfH mixer just doesn't give enough options considering pro drummers in real studios record their kit across many different tracks.
