well, it's subjective, but the reason why I think quality bolt-ons are better is because they have the same sustain as neck-thru's, easier to adjust, necks can be removed, and generally sound brighter. If a neck-thru modeled guitar's neck starts to move and get crooked, it's harder to adjust and fi...

The market is saturated now anyway. And its unfortunate. Whilst Myspace and the like SEEM like a good idea in actual fact it means any band that has even a hint of originality gets overlooked by the masses, because people are being fed new bands left right and centre. I'll be honest Im just as guilt...

Another thing to consider, is I'm 41 years old... My aspirations of being a "rock star" are long gone, I just don't see me in center city Philly original clubs trying to sell my cd for 4.00, when Mutt Lang walks up and says "Sure, I'll give it a listen" Hey, I have a tale...

"Nashville" tuning

Anyone ever used this before? I wanted to learn "I stay away" by Alice In Chains the other day, and didnt realise I needed to use some fucked up tuning. Can it be done with your standard 6 string acoustic or do I need to buy a 12 string set to tune the bottom 4 strings up an octave?

1990-1994 PanterA were the best live band in the world. You only have to watch the brixton academy vid from 94 to realise that. Trendkill is still their best album musically but live during the aforementioned era they were unstoppable.

Marty Friedman should really get some recognition outside of metal also. Not many people can play like him, not just in technical ability but in note choice. Also his vibrato > everyone else.

I've had this for a while, mainly just so I could play the drum tracks my drummer sent me. But anyway I was wondering if someone with more experience could help me out. Can you record guitar tracks using fruity loops too then mix it with the drum tracks, or alternatively is there a program you could...
