Re: Dean guitars

Ive heard they have a really fat neck. To anyone who has a Dean or has played one, how does it compare to the neck of an epihpone les paul? Les pauls are fairly chunky aren't they? My friends dad has one, i can't really remember how it plays though. yes, they are quite chunky, older Deans are simil...

i have a piezo on my 7 string ibanez and it does rule, its cool to get an acoustic sound on an electric guitar. i suggest putting on heavy distortion with the piezo on. you can get some fucked up sounds. where'd you find one of those? that's kinda rare...is one made for a Floyd Rose? Get an outboard mixer/mic pre and use that. You can get them for about $50. Run an RCA-to-1/8 stereo jack from your mixer to your line-in and you're set. ^this is the best option^, I'm using an M-Audio MobilePre USB, and I dig it a lot, however, you may need to download an ASIO driver that will low...

i don't think it really mattersa, they are both really hot pickups, so they will probably have very similar tonal characteristics, but i think the X2N is a little grittier, so if you want some clarity with bite on your neck pickup, Dimebucker in bridge, X2N in Neck, either way, you'll have a guitar ...
