Re: Dean guitars
Ive heard they have a really fat neck. To anyone who has a Dean or has played one, how does it compare to the neck of an epihpone les paul? Les pauls are fairly chunky aren't they? My friends dad has one, i can't really remember how it plays though. yes, they are quite chunky, older Deans are simil...

i have a piezo on my 7 string ibanez and it does rule, its cool to get an acoustic sound on an electric guitar. i suggest putting on heavy distortion with the piezo on. you can get some fucked up sounds. where'd you find one of those? that's kinda rare...is one made for a Floyd Rose? I know Fishman...

wait a minute, fishman is wilkinson, they are the same right? there is no difference in between them? not sure, i just know this one and the one i played on the Nitefly looked different... plus a Fly is about $1200-1500 more than one of these NEW (this one i see in the stores new for $800.00 or so)...

I'm glad i did too, this fucker kicks a lot of ass... Bought a Parker P-44 from a pawn shop yesterday for only $350 in freaking EXCELLENT condition, and it's the exact model i had been wanting (unless i were to just add the Fishman/Wilkinson systems to my Les Paul and my Strat, unfortunately, they d...

Get an outboard mixer/mic pre and use that. You can get them for about $50. Run an RCA-to-1/8 stereo jack from your mixer to your line-in and you're set. ^this is the best option^, I'm using an M-Audio MobilePre USB, and I dig it a lot, however, you may need to download an ASIO driver that will low...

Re: Joe Satriani
You guys will probably skin me alive :|): But I saw him on a local access cable channel, he did an in studio performance for a classic rock station here...That was the first time I had ever actually seen him play. I was pretty fuckin impressed. There was some riff cheesiness here and there.. but ov...

i don't think it really mattersa, they are both really hot pickups, so they will probably have very similar tonal characteristics, but i think the X2N is a little grittier, so if you want some clarity with bite on your neck pickup, Dimebucker in bridge, X2N in Neck, either way, you'll have a guitar ...

It's Japanese, i didn't think that the American model was worth the extra £200 or whatever for basically the same guitar made by an American. They're both bolt on construction with stock pups etc. It plays fucking sweet, i'm investing in a decnt combo soon because my 10 watt practice amp really do...

the Tascam is just an outboard soundcard rather than an internal one, if you wanna cut that delay down goto www.asio4all.com and download the asio driver it cut my delay down from 45ms to 4ms when monitoring something in cubase. how and where did you install it? I don't have a a regular stack or halfstack in my house at the moment, it's being stored over at my mom's place, my wife and I only have two bedrooms in my paw-in-law's place, one for an actual bedroom and the other bedroom is our Computer/TV/Living area, so no room to keep it here, I only have my M...

well, instead of going with a new expensive ass sound card specially designed for instrument inputs, I'd like to get a Behringer V-Amp(2) to go straight into the computer, because all that plus the Amplitube (over $600 from GC) doesn't seem to be as good as a $99 V-amp alone... get a PodXT if you h...

Hey 'Lash, weren't you the one who sent me the Amplitube a while back? If so, wasn it the full or bundled version? didn't seem like a lot of useful tones on there... I bet it'll work better on a USB2.0 input better than USB 1.1, which I had on my old machine... Pretty cool guitar to make a RR tribute out of  I personally would take RRs based more on his black and white Vs, but that's me. well, i think Jackson shouldn't have made those since RR's original Polkadot V wasn't even made by Jackson, and it was a true flying V with a harpoon headstock with ...
