Backing tracks for soloing?

Anyone know where I can get, or have any backing tracks I could upload to my mixer, and just lay solos over? Like a complete rhythm guitar, bass, and drums wav/mp3?

Hum a melody then try to duplicate that on your guitar. Unless you are brilliant on the guitar, you can't think about what you want to play then just play it on the fly. It takes some preperation. Right, I know what you mean. I tend to end my ideas fast, because I want people to hear it asap. But t...

Third lesson so far with new instructor.

Learned pentatonics. Hell yes. So that's a total of three lessons so far. Here's my latest solo, so tell me if I'm progressing. Click this: http://www.painpurge.com/Solo.mp3 I'm also looking for advice, on techniques, and if you can tell me by listening where I'm sloppy, or what I should learn. Than...

It makes me think...should I just dump everything from the past? As in, should you throw away all your old songs and riffs? That's a personal call. You'll always write better stuff the longer you play, so eventually your old stuff will become outdated (this is true for the first few years, at least...

Alright, so lessons are going great, but...

...I'm starting to notice my solos are in an Ozzy/Jake Lee era sound. All I've learned was the minor key so far at lessons. No modes, modifications, pentatonics, etc. Since my next lesson isn't until Monday, and I'm jotting down questions to ask him, I'm wondering what I should ask him to teach me s...

Re: I FINALLY UNDERSTAND SCALES!!!! AND STAYING IN KEY!!

Whoa, holy shit. First lessons back with a new instructor this past Monday and I know understand what I did not know for six years! The guitar, the fretboard, and staying in key knowing your scales! So he taught me A Minor/C Major and it's been a blast. It's Saturday now and I have it memorized! Ch...

Not everyone is capable of figuring things out on their own. If it wasn't for this lesson, I don't know when I would've figured it out. This rules man, I'm having a blast writing now. My whole style of writing has changed. I no longer guess what notes to play, I know which ones!

I just need help developing speed. I can play scales, but I can't "shred" them that well or anything (I mostly play slow-ass "doomy"" solos). What i'm basically saying is I probably can't play the first 8 seconds of that mp3. This might sound dumb, but here's the truth. All...
