Check out greg bennet guitars... the av-7 is one of the best guitars i've played... good tone, quality, and plays well... and it isn't overpriced a damn bit.

Something very low and a bit wide... If i get my hands on a guitar with high frets, i'll file them down a bit and polish them.. hard work to get em nice and right. I don't care for jumbo frets for some odd reason.

I've never cared for the valvestate line personally... and 250 sounds pretty pricey for that. I'd check out some pawnshops for a combo before ebay or craigslist.

The krank cabs do look pretty intimidating, As well as being well built.

Best- Charvel... i wish i could think of the model right now.
Worst- Ibanez- RG 270 i believe. Overall sound and fit sucked. My fretting hand cramped up in two minutes tops every time i played it... I hate jumbo frets.

Get a fender blues jr (tube) and a good distortion pedal. Way better tone than crates or line six. The fenders go 300ish on ebay.
