The first and second series Valvestates are awesome amps. Anything after that is a waste of money...as you've found out. Go exchange it for a Peavey XXL. Or he could get a good amp instead. Peavey's are great in all sizes, just because they're cheaper doesn't mean shit. The Peavey 5150 is still one...

disregard the randall cabinet, i was just trying it out at the time. i just leave my 5150 as a half stack nowadays.
