Triggered-sounding drums don't make me want to rock out on a kit. They make me want to have a bowel movement. Lots of Led Zeppelin gets me on the kit more than anything. Bonham. Well shit, I'm not just saying how it sounds, but the patterns used too. You sound Doc-ish now. I think the ...

The thing is I really love the way that single coil pickup in the tele sounds through my 5150, it's articulate and clear but really raw and fat at the same time. I just don't want that ear piercing squeal with it.

I just got a telecaster. I love it. The last couple guitars I've bought have been hardtail. Gibson V and Fender Telecaster. First American made guitars I've bought so far as well. I think my telecaster needs different tuners though. Let me ask you a question. You know that squeal that the tele produ...

Gibson V is the first american made guitar I've gotten and it blows away really any other guitar I have in quality, feel and tone. I just bought an American made tele the other day which is amazing, but its quality doesn't stand up to the V.

Definitely.

What's crazy though is the licensed floyd I have on one of my guitars works better than the original Floyd Rose I had installed in one of my others.

I have a Gibson V and I love playing it sitting down. I think it's actually really comfortable with the wings around the right leg.

There's pros and cons to the floyd, sure. But to be honest they really aren't that hard to set up and maintain. Adjusting the screws is actually really easy and doesn't take much time at all. I used to use the floyd for divebombs and all the tricks but then I got bored of that. Usually the only time...

I used to be interested in multi effects things but it really wouldn't work with my setup. I'm looking for a pedal. I think the Holy Grail from EHX sounds like it would work. I think the guitar center by me has it, so I'm gonna have to try it out.

Usually to get quality reverb pedals, you have to go the boutique route. Check out this web site and listen to the samples... http://www.musictoyz.com Have you also thought of looking at echo/delay pedals? Yeah I have a boss dd6 digital delay. It works great, and adds some depth. But unless I want ...

It was fun for me to play on for a while but eventually I just got sick of the guitar's tone and feel, and realized that I don't even need or want 7 strings.

Reverb

For some reason it seems that if you don't have reverb on your amp (I have the first 5150 block letter version), it's impossible to find a good reverb that isn't a rackmount digital unit or one with an actual spring tank that costs a shitload. Anyone know any good reverb pedals that won't sound like...

Impressive. I like the arranging and the ideas. I like that kind of clean-but-slightly-distorted tone you guys use, it works really well with the music. Makes it sound old school. And the saxophone is fucking badass, I'm a big saxophone fan.

Does electronica music make it more than 12 notes? Most music doesn't. Just wondering how your technical expertise translated into better music if they still just had the same notes. So by that token Chopin, Beethoven, or Bartok are in the same vein of talent as Nickelback, Blue October, or Slayer?...
