in your solos? I think they're pretty boring personally. Sometimes I use little 3 string ones (example: "One" by Metallica, in the intro solo) during quick runs but I rarely do 4 or 5 string ones.

Technical skill doesn't sound good unless you learn it along with writing and playing along with shit like everybody else. A guy who becomes advanced over 20 years will sound 100 times better than someone who became advanced over 2 years. There's no way he's had enough time to develop his own style ...
