Building a V from warmoth
I am basically trying to build a wolfgang out of a v... as in i am going to use the same radius, neck profile, nut width, maple/maple setup on the neck. But i want to have the v shape. I am worried about losing some whatever it is that you lose when it comes to v's in the neck pickup. The wolfgang i...

www.floydupgrades.com makes a simple stop, for $20.
But if your handy you should be able to make one like it for a few bucks.
Otherwise block that bastard with a chunk of wood. More sustain as well.

No i haven't. I've quit drinking and i've been fiddling with my girlfriends guitar a bit. I'm planning on buying another guitar soon, but this time im going to get some books and study theory instead of going half assed about music. I can play, but i really don't know what i am playing. Just borrowe...

I had an AC30. It was a fucking tank and loud as fuck. Great instrument, but I needed cash so flogged it. Yeah that was a big reason why I opted for the head and 2x12 cabinet version instead of the combo. Hauling two 30-40 pound boxes is less of a bother than one 70 or 80 pound box. If I ever get t...

Are you more of a rythym player or lead... both? You might want to check out a sansamp.. havent played on one in years but i used to love laying thru one. For 200 you might be able to find an ADA mp-1... its rackmount but they are great sounding imo. The Mesa Triaxis and Marshall JMP-1 were modeled ...

Quit drinking and can't seem to pick up the guitar
Yep, im another one with this problem. I quit drinking about 4 months ago, and it seems like that is the same point in time where i stopped picking up the guitar. I try to sit down and nothing feels the same... nothing has the same spark as it once did. Every note seems dull and lifeless. Last satur...

It all matters on the metals that form your string, and i could see how coatings would affect pinch harmonics. I switched to ghs over e.b's at the beginning of the year, can't complain about the tone or breakage rate at all. I'm also supporting a buisiness from my state. I'll tell you what tho...

I'd go for a les paul, but at the same token i would probably go for another brand with more bang... (tone if you will) for the buck. Probably an esp. I used to have an 87 studio, and it sounded great and played awesome despite the huge neck profile. Wish i never sold it. All the new studios i have ...

You might want to try doing the studs. The two metals might (probably do, from what you're describing) have very different resonant properties and some of that is maybe getting lost when sound resonates in the bridge, studs, body, etc. It's worth a shot, i'll have to buy new studs though. The studs...
