THEE. Uno. And how in Hades name did Jason Newsted inspire you to play? His live presence, his energy and all the crazy running around and headbanging. I'm telling you, a Squier Jazz is the way to go if you're going with a budget instrument. The nice thing about that is you can upgrade stuff in it later, like dropping new pickups or a preamp in it, throwing a Badass II bridge on it, and stuff like that. Then, if you get some serious cash you want ...

That's an ugly bass. So much for that beginner bass huh? You'll be left with a piece of odd shaped garbage to put in the corner of your room. I had an Epiphone Flying-V before, played great and sounded even better. This thing is pretty sturdy, I like the Dean Dimebag versions too. One extra humbuck...

I checked out a Squier Jazz Bass today, pretty cheap at $150 and sounded great on a small 10watt amp.

Problem is I'm broke for a week or two, that and the amp with cables would have only been $200.

Check out some cheap Ibanez basses, maybe a used one. Ibanez is great at making a "knockaround" that can actually be quite playable. I did like the Ergodyne 600, really smooth to play. Like I said I'll get a cheap acoustic/electric, and if I keep up with it I'll buy a better one. I saw a ...

If you know how to play, you don't need an entry level bass unless you want to save money. If you're serious about playing shell out the extra cash for something that's going to play nice and leave you wanting to play more. Cheap basses have an odd feel to the neck that leaves (tee hee leaves) me n...

I need a new bass

Seeing as the one I have was free and sucks, and I am going to start playing again.

www.rondomusic.com has some cheap basses, but I'm not sure of quality. I'm looking to spend under $300 bucks, then I need a small practice amp because my Marshall mini-stack sucks.
