Trust me, Lexington, Kentucky is not a doom/sludge hot spot. I was fairly shocked when I heard about this show. They must have thrown darts at a U.S. map.

I immensely enjoy relatively new posters getting hostile towards people who have been here for many years, ranting about how things "work" here at the BB.

I can't put my finger on why. If I played arenas with Metallica and then moved on to small shit clubs in Covington, KY, I wouldn't be very enthusiastic. But they all seemed to be into it.

No, I was more or less at the barrier looking at the stage the whole time. About the only moshing I noticed was during Planets Collide.

I was also surprised to meet Sixty Watt Shaman's excellent bassist in the crowd. Swell guy.

UK as in university of kentucky. I go there. I haven't seen any metalheads to really speak of. There seem to be a lot of punk and emo bands. Good luck finding anything. Do you play anything?
