Play em and figure it out, It really depends on what you play/how you play. an Original is always a good choice though.

I know a few of you put together some really good stuff on your home computers, I'd like to try this out but there is a ton of software out there and its fuckin expensive. What do you use and reccomend?

i suppose you have to give them some credit for at least attempting to play something semi-cool.. most kids want to play bullshit like Tool and STP.

alternate picking is best practice... this will help you immensely when it comes to playing quickly and efficently.

yep, but depending on the exact make/model of the trem you might have difficulty finding parts for it.. Pots are a dime a dozen.. throw some modern pickups in that bitch and clean up the trem, you've got a pretty sweet axe to work with.
