Re: Finally made up my mind.

Just remember with a floyd rose, you cant tune to drop D and back without it throwing the other strings out of tune. Unless you have one of these. I've got one on my Jackson DR. You can lock the tremolo from moving, set it to dive only (not pull-up), or leave it fully floating. http://cgi.ebay.ca/NE...

thats why i said ignore the red and white wires in that Duncan diagram, those are for coil splitting or whatever its called. The 3 wires coming out of your pickup, one is the hot wire (the sound), the other two are ground wires. The bare wire is always going to be a ground. So try soldering the red ...

ok either the red wire or the white wire is your hot wire. the other wire, along with the bare wire are ground wires. you have to figure out which one is the hot wire. trial and error i guess if you look at this diagram, the black one is the hot wire, the green and bare are ground wires. so you have...

i agree. i have no use for it, but i couldnt pass up the deal on this Ibanez. i blocked the bridge so it doesnt move. so it basically functions like a fixed bridge. no screwing around tuning, re-tuning, and adjusting when changing strings. Tuning to drop D doesnt throw the other strings out of tune....

ok i actually managed to get it all back to the way it is supposed to be, instead of just close enough. Maybe i didnt realize it, or im too dumb to know these things, but the strings arc from high E to low E, with D and G being the highest. The saddles are in pairs. So there should be 3 pairs of two...

String/guitar smell

I notice over time, after i play, my left hands smells. Probably the build up of sweat and skin on the strings. I remember reading a while ago about guitar products, more specifically something you wiped the strings with it. I think it helped with the string life, but im not sure if it solved the sm...
