if you change the string gauge, then you have to adjust the springs in the back to compensate for the pressure. if you went heavier strings, then its going to pull the bridge upwards more, so tighten the springs. If you went lighter, then loosen the springs so the bridge will pull out further. you w...

as for the action, i cant tell by the picture because they're dark, but if its a floyd rip-off or similiar, the bridge should be supported by two pivot screws. they are usually adjustable with an allen wrench. just crank them up or down to raise or lower

Ibanez Lo-TRS II trem question (floyd rose in general)

when the grooves get worn down, the strings are too low which would cause them to buzz on the first couple frets.

you mean permanetly bowed?

it does have a slight underbow and if i get it straight (to the eye atleast) it buzz's on the first three frets.

where do you get the fret buzzing? is it all over? one end of the neck? middle?

if adjusting the neck wont fix it, it could be the nut

for the guitars, i plugged into my effect board, and then straight into my sound card. i didnt use the effect board other than to boost the signal. i dont think it really made a difference though. I used a program called Guitar Rig 3. I just picked a a standard metal tone i think.
