For the PS series, only 9 and 10 for starting digits for the serial numbers. 10 = bad, 9 = good.

Unless you swapped out the neck on the PS4 it comes stock with 22 frets.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm thinking of the PS3T, which is the RR model..my bad.

Performer are what the "Pro" series is now, minus the sharkies. What you want is a Professional model from the early 90s. Those look like RR1s and are equal to them.

I think a lot of bands use too much distortion and ruin any chance that we'd understand what they were playing. I second this.. Live & in the studio, people with no idea seem to crank the gain out of their amps for the sake of it... that's when things get messy and the guitars lack clarity. I a...

While it is possible to play metal on a Strat, you will need to change the pickups to make the sound fit anything "extreme" sounding. If you use the whammy bar a lot, a bridge switch would help greatly. But since it's a Squire, unless you're really attached to it, don't bother with any of ...

Yep. Took a couple hours but that's cause I made a recessed route. Probably could have be finished in a 1/2 hour if I didn't want to do pull ups but there's no fun in that

Ask other bands in town if you can open for 'em. It's a shitty slot because everyone's there to see the headliner but it gets you and your music out there and hell, if you blow the headliner off with a wicked stage show and music, they just might be opening for you next time :D
