Aeon: Just got Elegant Gypsy before my post. Great album. The guitar inspired works are where it 's at for me. John Mclaughlin I will be checking out. Jazz Rock/Fusion
Very interesting. This is the only Frank Zappa stuff i like, but it inspired me to check out Al Di Meola, Weather Report, stuff from that era. I always liked jazz stuff in rock songs. Anyone here regularly listen to this?

Maybe it's because the sole basis of the bands existence was the fact that these dudes were just Phil worshipers and accepted his druggy lifestyle, and once Dimebag was killed he realized that SJR was a fucking joke. SJR's best song doesn't even scratch the pubic hair on Pantera's choade. So what. ...

Re: Favorite Pantera tour/concert....
The very first show I saw was in '92 (I believe)...they opened up for Skid Row. Awesome show and rows of seats were knocked out. In all, I've seen 7 shows. The best show I saw was Pantera/White Zombie/Deftones. Don't care too much for Zombie but never saw them live so it was ok. It was a big venue ...

Thats because there's 20x the amount of bands than there were in the 80's. Along with that comes the majority of it being pure shit. But you saying there is barely any good metal being put out today is dumb. I still don't understand what Zakk is supposed to sound like as compared to these great ban...
