here, you know what, even if phil had stuck around to record those 2 records with pantera, i reckon it only would have been a half effort and they wouldn't have been anything great! I'd rather they left it at the amazing records they did, than finish their career with 2 shit ones. They'd clearly gon...

Why don't you and your friends write your own song for Dimebag...that way you don't have to worry about getting permission etc AND it will be more personal. You'll be able to express how you feel about dime's death a lot better than playing a cover.

it would be kind of cool if phil, rex, and vinnie made a song dedicated to dime with no replacement guitarist. something really heartfelt and mellow, with a deep bass and slow tempo. the lack of guitar would really exemplify how important dime was to the band and why pantera can't exist without it....

That's the point, you wouldn't have heard any except maybe Putrefy if you're into death metal. All the bands that played are just local bands from ireland who got together to pay tribute to Dimebag. You can't criticise them if you haven't heard them.

Phil's new project
Apparently Phil is working on a new project called Body and Blood. (I think thats the name). Apparently its all his own songs, acoustic, very chilled out and atmospheric. Should be interesting to hear. Good to know he;s getting back on track.

Apparently there was an acoustic down album and dvd recorded but Phil wouldn't let Elektra release it and Elektra won't hand it over. Man, an acoustic Down set.....*drools* Thats also the case with the 4th Pantera home movie.

Dimebag Darrell Memorial Concert in Ireland
Dimebag Darrell was my ultimate hero as he was too many others. As we all know the entire metal world was shook and hurt by the news of his death. To pay my tribute I got a Dimebag Darrell tattoo and have spent the past 2 months organising this gig for him. I just wanted to post this incase there ar...
