It's just for my room. I have a rack and a few cabs in my basement for gigging. Just a 1x12 combo will do. One with good gain and clean channel that can drive a bit of power at slightly higher volumes. Sometimes I bring it over to a couple friends house for quick portability within jamming.

Can anyone give a link to confirm or deny these rumors? Need to find out!

I've recently sold my crate fx 2x12 combo and am looking for a different one. Preferably one that has a much better gain... that gain crapped out in the solo channel after 4. Anyone have any good recommendations other than marshal, crate, or line 6?

Tobias neckthrew 6 strings are exceptional.

Korg DTR 2000- You can see it from a distance, plus it looks like fucking night rider. Crate TDP Preamp- Screams good and has great clean. Alesis DEQ 230- Too much shit to list for just an eq. Google the damn thing. Sonic Maximizzzzzzeeeerrr!!!- 'nuff said That should get you started for some ideas....

I love my 5 string. If she's new to the frets go with a 4. If you do go with a 5 you don't have to drop the low string depending on what you tune it to. The neck is considerably wider though.

Be sure to moisten it with formalin twice daily as it will become a funyon if not properly cared for.
