I just completed it and it not only works, it sounds great. Pics to come and maybe audio later down the road. It kicks ass. Everyone should own one of these.

Before you try fitting in solos, actually KNOW how to fit in solos. It does not mesh right. Approach them a better way? More or less. One thing that I have noticed works for fitting in solos is while playing the solo, sometimes hit the same notes as the rhythm (guitar and bass) hit at the same time...

Not everyone is capable of figuring things out on their own. If it wasn't for this lesson, I don't know when I would've figured it out. This rules man, I'm having a blast writing now. My whole style of writing has changed. I no longer guess what notes to play, I know which ones! Well, you've alread...

Re: I FINALLY UNDERSTAND SCALES!!!! AND STAYING IN KEY!!
Whoa, holy shit. First lessons back with a new instructor this past Monday and I know understand what I did not know for six years! The guitar, the fretboard, and staying in key knowing your scales! So he taught me A Minor/C Major and it's been a blast. It's Saturday now and I have it memorized! Ch...

My first bass was a Hondo. I defretted it but since it was made of masonite, it had the resonance of a block of concrete. It sounded cool for upright-style muted parts, but that was about the extent of it. That's gonna be a problem, considering I want to get a bass with good sustain. I am looking a...

I saw a bass called a Honda at a pawnshop. It was either Honda or Honda II. I recognize the name, but I wanted to know, how do they sound?

Lexington music scene
This fall I might be going to UK for school. Does anyone know how the music (metal particularly) scene is? I play bass and can do vocals, as well as some guitar, and I would like to get into a metal band. Hopefully if I go there, I will meet some metalheads.
