I just got back. The show was awesome. I missed Weedeater but ATB, Crowbar, and COC kicked ass. I met Kirk too. He was drunker than shit. Crowbar stole the night IMO, with the exception that there sound could have been a little stronger.

Let me start out by saying you are a damn good drummer. As for the guitar riffs, they need some work. They are a bit too repetive and "flat" sounding. Not flat as in out of tune, but they are pretty damn boring. And a little piece of advice, girls do not make good thrash singers.

I am looking at buying a washburn T24 bass. I have heard samples and it sounds great. I know some buddies who own washburns and swear by them. From what I have heard, washburns are quality instruments.

Before you try fitting in solos, actually KNOW how to fit in solos. It does not mesh right. Approach them a better way? More or less. One thing that I have noticed works for fitting in solos is while playing the solo, sometimes hit the same notes as the rhythm (guitar and bass) hit at the same time...

Whoa, holy shit. First lessons back with a new instructor this past Monday and I know understand what I did not know for six years! The guitar, the fretboard, and staying in key knowing your scales! So he taught me A Minor/C Major and it's been a blast. It's Saturday now and I have it memorized! Ch...

My first bass was a Hondo. I defretted it but since it was made of masonite, it had the resonance of a block of concrete. It sounded cool for upright-style muted parts, but that was about the extent of it. That's gonna be a problem, considering I want to get a bass with good sustain. I am looking a...

I'll be moving to either Lexington, KY or Baton Rouge, LA depending on whether I go to LSU or UK. I figure I have decent odds considering 20,000-30,000 people go to each so there must be at least a few decent metal guitarists and drummers there I can hook up with.
