Its a VST drum patch programmed via MIDI, if that excuses it.

But both those songs were made jokingly anyway.

Re: Bass amp...

If you're using a six-string you'll probably want a pretty wide frequency range--a 2x12 neodymium set-up with a lightweight solid-state pre/power amp combo like one of the Shuttle amps would do the trick. Definitely. I'm toying with the idea of doing some solo bass shows, if I am satisfied with the...

Bass amp...

I picked up a 6 string bass recently and was wondering if any of you fine gents had anything nice to say about the bass amplifiers you own. I'm in the mood for something small, but powerful enough, and something that doesn't weigh as much as a fucking bus. Size and weight are the reasons I got rid o...

Personally I play music strictly because it entertains me. I was never amazing at it and never claimed to be. That said, there's always been something I just can't dig about a cover band. i gotta say those look pretty badass. i don't understand the curved frets in the first one though, i can't see how that could be beneficial and not just an annoyance Fanned frets are for multiple scale lengths. Standard tuning on an 8 string is F# B E A D G B E and most players prefer a 27" or...

Ableton Live, and use Native Instruments Studio Drummer or Toontrack Superior Drummer as a VST. If you're handy with EQing both programs are pretty decent.

Get a good audio interface for your computer so you can plug in a guitar and have low latency... then download Native Instruments Guitar Rig. Better than a 10 watt amp, for damned sure. And you can pirate it for 0 dollars.

Indeed it is. I've experimented with tuning to G and have tried heavier strings to the point of having a wound G and filing out the nut to accept .70 low E as well as extensively adjusting bridge height and neck bowing, but imo A is the lowest you can go on a 6 string and still maintain playability...

It's a 1980something Baby Z, judging by the fact that it has a Kahler. Set neck and Kahler might make it an 84 or 85... but I'm no expert.

It's a 6 digit serial so it's an import, and only someone who works for Dean could tell you what year it is exactly.
