Hey what's up. Just been trying to keep busy. Currently working on some new stuff, somewhat in the vein of the Floyd. Not sure what will come of it, if anything.

I see some familiar names are still around. :pimp: You guys still partying it up?

Re: Amp Tubes

I have a Peavey XXX that came with 6L6 tubes in it. If i change to EL34 tubes will it have a heavier/Cleaner/Over all better metal tone?? What brand do you guys think is the best? No. Go with EL34's if you want more of that classic british rock sound. I think the 6l6's are better suited for metal.

Neither. If you want a badass deathmetal amp get an Ampeg vh140c. You're missing the point. You don't spend a shitload of money on a nice head which has better distortion and then put a distortion pedal in front of it. You don't really use them as a distortion pedal. They're used as a boost for tube...

You may already know these; Stone The Crow (acoustic ver.), Where I'm Going and Jail.

My Friends by RHCP. Hurt by NIN. Nirvana's Unplugged cd. AIC's Sap ep. I know you said no classical but Desolate Ways by Morbid Angel is pretty cool and not hard to play. The intro to Beneath the Remains.

Engl makes sweet amps. Marshall Valvestate amps are all right, especially the older models. Here's a clip of one if you want to hear, http://www.btinternet.com/~mikawbarish/ ... 3-8200.mp3
Enough distortion imo, hell Meshuggah use to use em live.
