Cruise shops for a nice used guitar, re-mod the damn thing. I bought a down and out Carvin DC127C for $150 with horrible finish damage, destroyed pickups, flaking electronics...replaced them with Gibson PAF's, the Floyd was in pretty good condition, refinished the guitar, bought the electronic parts...

Shecter is crap......you get what you pay for, shitty enamel, porous woods clogged, and bad parts.....

Who needs active pickups with the technology we have in modern day amps? I believe there is a large bias placed on active pickups, because people like the idea of having something that's ridiculously hot. Anyways, I've got a Duncan 59' and SH1 in my ZZ, they work very well together, I'd reccomend it...
