Damn. it seems that quite a few of you aside from CFH Eternal need to learn how to read time signatures properly. Particularly compound time signatures. You do NOT use the same logic from a simple time signature while reading/interpreting a compound time signature. And though a time signature like 6...

Maybe it's just the pictures not doing it justice. I really love the attributes but for whatever reason the whole is lesser than the sum of the parts for me. Can't really put my finger on it. But  anyway. Wish I could afford to do something like that.

How could you possibly have "too many" accidentals to play? Seriously I'm curious about some of your guys' "logic" here. If you can't understand how to use it then don't buy it. But it's not at all "overkill" or "too much". The only time it would ever be too ...

The metal zone sounds awesome on a 15w solid state practice amp. Put it in line with any decent tube amp and out of your entire signal it projects a few frequencies at around 70hz and 19000hz, and absolutely nothing in between.

I have a friend who plays bass for a living. He just bought something from Mark Bass recently after his Gallien/Krueger head took a shit on him and he swears by this thing. I hold this guy's opinion in high esteem and since he gigs constantly he doesn't settle for anything less than quality stuff (h...

Just doing a google for "8 string" and I found this. Damn this guy rules. Slightly sloppy but I wouldn't even come close to playing it, and the chord progression is genius:

I'm not sold on the line 6 stuff. Every distortion I've played of theirs sounds like an analog signal with some crunchy static laid overtop of it at about 20db louder than the actual signal. Even Bogner couldn't get a good tone from them. There's those amps they (Line 6) have that are bogner tube pr...

You might want to try doing the studs. The two metals might (probably do, from what you're describing) have very different resonant properties and some of that is maybe getting lost when sound resonates in the bridge, studs, body, etc.

The TD-20 is unreal. It's so well engineered it makes you sound and play better than you actually are. The rebound from the pads is nothing you've ever felt. Tons of rebound but it's zero impact on your wrists, it's really weird.

Playing acoustic music

Yesterday I looking at maybe buying a bass, and ended up walking out with an acoustic guitar. I have about 7 (let me count...yeah 7 including this new acoustic) guitars, one of which is a semi-hollow, but I've never owned my own acoustic (I learned on one my mom owns). I have to say: I've been tryin...
