I have solid wood beaters on my double kick. Love thetight sound but the feel isnt that much different from felt.

Yup. Met all fo them twice. It was cool. Phil and Dime were the coolest. Rex was all quiet. Vinnie was as cool as Dime was but not as out going.

I jsut bought a 16" Sabian AAX Explosion crash and a premier boom stand. Wooters!
