RZA & GZA
This was the coolest concert experience, & also the funniest. I'm used to seeing a group of musicians bringing down the house & so this being my first rap concert, I must say that for two MC's & one DJ, they have quite the incredible stage presence to still blow me away as a great live b...

GIGANTOUR 2008
April 30th, Toronto (technically in Mississauga), International Centre
Those living close to Toronto should definitely make the trip. It's right by the airport, tons of hotels to stay in for the night, even one very cheap one that's a few blocks away from the venue. Hell yeah

Scales for beginners
I'm more of a rhythm player (big riff oriented such as Angus Young & Jerry Cantrell), but would like to work on lead chops. I've been told to start learning some easy scales. I know nothing about blue scales, pentatonic, etc. So if y'all could give me some examples of each that I could practice ...

I shall be attending the Toronto date sometime early February. It's only $20, you have no reason not to attend this bill!

Do you have a name for your instrument(s)?
and give the reason why you named it that. My old guitar (Ibanez SA120) was dragonfly, after the character Dragonfly Jones in 'Martin' ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_%28television%29 ) since I was watching an old taped episode earlier in the day before I picked up the guitar. It just stuck.

Well I got it and it's truly a thing of beauty. I have a Line6 Spider II amp (had for about a year), I've just noticed that the sound is a bit more...clear?sharp? It's a nicer, richer sound, but I'm sure I need to look into getting a more compatible amp for this guitar. I know next to nothing about g...

I have no idea, but Musicians Friend has 341 reviews on this guitar and hopefully one of them knows what they're talking about.

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q297/starbreaker1/PBB/N_GW2007BG3.jpg As pictured, it's in white which just looks beauitful. Retails around $600 CDN. I doodled around with it at the music store and just got goosebumps. So before I shell out that kind of money, I'd like some feedback! There's far...

Guitarists, you guys ever find yourselves in this situation..
where you create a riff/guitar part/solo/chord progression, etc. and you love how it sounds, but scrap it anyway cause it sounds too similar to something you've already heard? This has been happening to me a lot lately and is start to get very annoying.
